When does my benefit coverage start?

For new employees who hold regular status, benefit coverage starts on the first day of the month after you have completed your probationary period. You must work 15 hours or more per week to maintain your coverage.  For new employees who hold casual status, benefit coverage can start as early as the first day of the month after you have completed 180 hours of work.
